On Saturday December 9, 2017 the Capilano Rugby Club presented a cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society. The final total from the 2017 Pink Day was $7,411.15. This was our biggest year so far and brings our 6 year total to $32,030.40!!!

The UBC Men’s rugby team recently won the University National Championship. The UBC team has many Capilano connection throughout its lineup and on the coaching staff. The Capilano Rugby Club will be collecting toys on Saturday Dec. 9th, 2017 that will be dropped off at the NS Christmas Bureau and the North Shore Salvation Army. As we have done the last few years we will also be collecting canned and non-perishable food items to be given to the North Shore Food Bank. Continue »

The photo above is of Makenzie Myles (Carson Graham), Alexis Melish (Carson Graham), and Chloe Cullen (Handsworth Secondary) who all just got back from a trip to Colombia where they did a service trip and played in a tournament with the Howlers. They also all were a part of the BC U17 team that won a bronze in the U18 division at Nationals this past summer. Continue »

Women’s Rugby League World Cup
The Canada Ravens Women’s Rugby League team plays its first game in Australia for the Rugby League World Cup. Four Capilano members are on Team Canada. Currently Premier Women’s players Andrea Burk, Christina Burnham, and Gillian Boag are joined on the team by previous Capilano player Mandy Marchak. Continue »
