Welcome Back to Klahanie Park – Saturday September 25, 2021

The Capilano Rugby Club is happy to announce the full details for the Welcome Back to Klahanie event this Saturday. This will be a full day at Klahanie and we invite club members of all ages to attend. Three Capilano RFC vs Burnaby Lake matches will take place as well as other events during the day. Full details are listed below including information on proof of vaccination requirements. Please share the event details with those who would be interested. We hope to see lots of familiar faces back at Klahanie Park for the first time in a long time!!

Game Schedule

Bob Spray Field

11:30am – Burnaby Lake Men at Capilano Men (2nd Division)

1:00pm – Burnaby Lake Women at Capilano Women (1st Division)

2:30pm – Burnaby Lake Men at Capilano Men (1st Division)

Events Schedule

10:00am – Open Touch Rugby Anyone interested in Touch on Saturday morning is welcome to join for a game. This is open to all ages and rugby abilities. Please invite club members, friends, and family to take part if interested.

Afternoon – Food Truck and Kids activities

Mamas Fish and Chip Food Truck will be on site to feed spectators and players. There will be some kids face painting activities around 12pm. The clubhouse bar will be open throughout the event.

Information for players: All players must be fully registered before being able to play on Saturday. Proof of vaccination will be checked at the front gate for everyone arriving. Players unable to provide proof of vaccination will still be able to play in the games but will not be able to access the changerooms or the clubhouse.

Information for spectators and guests: Proof of vaccination will be checked at the front gate for everyone arriving. Anyone unable to provide proof of vaccination will not be able to access the clubhouse but are still able to watch the games from an outdoor location. Masks will be required inside the clubhouse unless sitting at a table actively eating or drinking. Please help the club follow local health guidelines.
