Rugby activities have resumed at the Capilano Rugby Club under BC Rugby’s return to rugby program. The Capilano Rugby Club is looking for volunteers to help with the new safety protocols in place. An approved Capilano RFC Safety Coordinator is required to be on site during all rugby activities. We are also hopeful to have a volunteer on site for every session to help the Safety Coordinator.
A Safety Coordinator is required for all 60 minute rugby activities at Klahanie Park including Mini, Youth, Senior and Snowcaps. Being able to help out even once a month would be a big help. At this time there are seven different rugby cohorts (max 50 people) with sessions almost every day of the week. Currently the club has eight approved Safety Coordinators but we are looking to add to this number to spread out the workload.
Safety Coordinators and Volunteers must both be registered. This will allow you to complete the daily attestation that is required to be on site. There is a no cost option to register as a volunteer for those who will not also be participating in any rugby activities.
The requirements and responsibilities for both of these positions are listed below. If anyone is interested in helping with either of these positions please contact Chris Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also feel free to email with any questions you may have regarding volunteering.
