Beginning in the 2001-2002 season the Capilano RFC Alumni Association has formally sponsored an exchange program between New Zealnad rugby clubs in the memory of John “Stormy” Salkeld, who was a proud member of both the Capilano Rugby Club and his home club the East Coast Bays Rugby Club in Auckland, New Zealand.

The intent is to select candidates who will benefit from both the athletic and personal experiences gained from being involved in rugby in New Zealand, and who will positively represent the Capilano Rugby Club both on and off the field. While the program is aimed at younger, developing players, it is open to all club members, including coaches, trainers, and Capilano-sponsored referees.

Application document to be completed and returned with supporting letters to Tony Zamis at tony.zamis@shaw.ca. Deadline for application is February 15, 2019.
