This Saturday, sept. 29 sees all six Capilano teams in action at four different venues, as the club looks to get back on track after a tough weekend Sept. 22.
The 0-2 Capilano Premier Women — after two close losses to SFU and United — head out to South Surrey to play 1-0 Bayside at 11:30 a.m.
The Capilano Men’s Third-Division sides, meanwhile, will aim to avenge their losses last weekend by taking on Abbotsford and SFU in home-and-away games. The 1-1 Capilano 3A team plays at SFU at 1 p.m. while the 0-2 Capilano 3B squad plays Abbotsford in the friendly confines of their home field at Klahanie Park at 1 p.m.
The future and current heart of the Capilano club head out to Jericho that same day to take on the UBC Old Boys Ravens in tripleheader action. The first tilt, at 11:30 a.m., sees the 1-1 Capilano U-19 team square off against the 2-0 UBCOB U-19s. At 1 p.m. the Capilano Men’s First-Division team (1-1) welcomes back some players who were missing in last week’s loss to UVic as it faces the 0-1 Ravens. The marquee matchup will see the defending provincial champion Capilano Premier Men’s Team (1-1) try to shake off last week’s loss to UVic as it battles the 0-1 Ravens.
While the games are far afield, all fans are welcome to come out and cheer on their club in what should prove to be a great day for rugby.
Good luck to all the Capilano teams this weekend.
